- 1Patient is registered in a hospital EMR system. Patient demographics is sent to Qpath (HL7 messages).
- 2Qpath sends patient demographics to US modality work list.
- 3Provider selects patient from MWL and performs an exam. Images are sent to Qpath.
- 4Provider opens Qpath, completes exam report and e-signs.
- 5Qpath recognizes exam is: clinically indicated, billable, approved, and automatically sends a request for ultrasound order to EMR. EMR creates an order and sends accession number to Qpath.
- 6Qpath transfers exam report to patient chart in EMR and exam images to PACS.
- 7Billing charges are initiated either by EMR or Qpath.
